Barnes is situated on the south bank of the River Thames, between Putney and Richmond. There are good transport links to the heart of London, but there is a lot to see and enjoy in and around the village itself.
There's a wide choice of places to meet up including cosy cafés and friendly pubs, several with gardens or river views.
The OSO Arts Centre on Barnes Green offers a varied programme of performances and exhibitions as well as a café serving delicious food, and you can catch the latest films at Olympic Studios.
There are beautiful open spaces for walks and picnics, and the Thames Path provides a safe cycle route to Kew Gardens, Richmond, Putney and beyond.
